Webinar: How do we build more accessible menopause care?

Seven out of ten women between the ages of 45 and 60 experience menopause symptoms that affect their daily life and quality of life. At the same time, many say it’s hard to know where to turn, that their symptoms aren’t always taken seriously, and that the path to the right help can be a long one. The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) has also pointed to the need for more equitable, knowledge-based menopause care.

How can we organize menopause care so that more women get the right help, while using healthcare’s expertise and resources effectively?

Since 2025, Region Dalarna has had a region-wide digital menopause clinic for women between 40 and 60. Patients from across the county can easily seek digital care for menopause-related symptoms and receive support and assessment from specially trained midwives, with doctors available in the care chain when needed.

By making support and care for menopause symptoms accessible across the whole county, the conditions are created for coordinated efforts between different professions, while more women can quickly and easily get the help they need.
